Built in 1908, the Edifício Árabe is a remarkable example of Neo-Arabic architecture, officially classified as a monument of public interest. Originally designed as part of the Devesas industrial complex, this three-story building served as a storage facility and showroom, showcasing the craftsmanship and industry of its time. Today, this architectural gem is home to DeHouse Downtown, a vibrant space where history meets the future and a hub for collaboration, creativity, and community. Our mission is to honour the heritage of the Edifício Árabe while shaping a new chapter for Porto’s innovators, thinkers, and creators.
